The Ohio State Buckeyes are making progress on the 2026 recruiting trail, but they're also assembling a solid 2027 class.
Brody McNeel is a big-time offensive lineman recruit from Richmond, Va. He checks in at 6-foot-5, 285 pounds and is ranked as the No. 23 offensive tackle in the 2027 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
McNeel committed to head coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes on Wednesday. He was in "The Shoe" to see OSU beat the Texas Longhorns 14-7 to begin the season on Aug. 30. One gets the sense that the visit had a huge impact on him. That, along with everything involving being a player at Ohio State.
“My favorite things are the coaching staff, atmosphere and the legacy,” McNeel said, according to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals. “Really feel I can get developed very well at Ohio State.”
McNeel visited Ohio State again this weekend, and that finalized his decision. The Buckeyes are 10-0 and ranked No. 1 nationally. They are coming off a College Football Playoff national championship from last season, and they're among the top contenders for 2025.
