Recent reports have indicated that some Philadelphia Eagles offensive players and coaches have allegedly grown frustrated with quarterback Jalen Hurts regarding Hurts' play throughout the season.
Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has a reputation for letting the public know when he's less than pleased with just about anything related to the Philadelphia offense. Ahead of the Eagles' game at the rival Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1) this coming Sunday afternoon, Brown was asked on Thursday about the latest Hurts reports.
"Ask me about Dallas," Brown responded to the question, per Tim McManus of ESPN. "Thank you."
Questions about the relationship between Brown and Hurts have hovered over the Eagles since the receiver seemed to criticize the signal-caller back in December 2024. Brown has openly spoken about his frustrations throughout the fall, and a report from this week revealed that individuals within the Eagles have become annoyed over the fact that Hurts plays "his game" instead of "the game the coaches want him to play."
According to ESPN stats, the Eagles will head into the weekend ranked 28th in the NFL in passing yards per game (184.9), 25th in total yards per contest (300.1) and tied for 16th with 23.4 points scored per game. Meanwhile, Brown recorded 38 receptions for 457 yards and three touchdowns over his first nine contests of the campaign.
Per Patrick McAvoy of Sports Illustrated, Brown was also asked on Thursday if he thinks the 8-2 Eagles are "close to clicking on offense."
"I think we are," Brown said. "I think we are. I think that is the mindset to have. It's really just cleaning up those mistakes. It's not about being close. It's really just about finishing drives. The defense has been playing incredible, and we're just trying to do our part, and that starts with the things that take no talent, as (head coach Nick Sirianni) says all of the time."
As of Friday morning, ESPN BET had the Eagles as 3.5-point road favorites over the Cowboys. Regardless of the outcome of that game, it could be interesting to see what is and isn't said about Hurts before Philadelphia hosts the Chicago Bears (7-3) on Black Friday (Nov. 28).
