The 2025 Las Vegas Raiders season is turning into an embarrassment, and it continued on Sunday with an ugly 24-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, dropping them to 2-9 through their first 11 games. That loss and offensive performance was so bad and so discouraging, that it resulted in yet another offensive coordinator change just hours after it ended.
The Raiders entered Sunday's game against Cleveland ranked 30th in the NFL in both yards per game (269) and points per game (15.5). Those numbers are only going to go down after a 10-point, 268-yard effort on Sunday. That prompted the Raiders to fire offensive coordinator Chip Kelly after hiring him before the season as part of head coach Pete Carroll's staff.
He lasted just 11 games. What makes it especially troubling is the Raiders have been churning through offensive coordinators at a shocking rate in recent seasons.

Since the start of the 2021 the Raiders have used Greg Olson, Mick Lombardi, Bo Hardegree, Luke Getsy, Scott Turner, Kelly and now a yet-to-be-named interim OC calling plays for them. That is going to be seven different offensive coordinators and play-callers in a five-year stretch.
It's not only hard to win and develop any sort of an offense with that sort of constant turnover, it's also a continuing sign that the Raiders are not hiring the right people. That is a problem that goes to the top of the organization and owner Mark Davis.
It also leads to questions as to what is next for the Raiders and Carroll.
The hiring of Carroll, the addition of veteran quarterback Geno Smith and the draft of running back Ashton Jeanty were all pretty good signs that the Raiders believed they could compete this season. Instead, they have rapidly become one of the worst teams in the NFL and have an extremely bleak outlook beyond this season.
Kelly is also the second assistant coach to be fired this season, joining special teams coordinator Tom McMahon earlier this month.
Does such a bad season, plus the firing of two assistants in season, indicate that Carroll could be in jeopardy? With Davis' recent track record anything is on the table, especially given how many of his head coaches only stick around for two years or less.
