Nico Harrison makes a controversial appearance in Dallas after his firing

Nico Harrison apparently does not care to lay low after getting canned.

The former Dallas Mavericks general manager Harrison made a controversial public appearance at a local bar in Dallas this week. An X user with the handle of @basednoahh shared a video of Harrison in the bar seemingly on his way out.

In the post, the user claimed that Harrison was there with his wife and ended up getting booed out of the bar. You can see the full post at the link here.

The 52-year-old Harrison became GM of the Mavericks in 2021 but was fired from his position earlier this month. He will always be public enemy No. 1 in Dallas for his role as the architect of the absolutely disastrous trade that sent beloved Mavericks franchise player Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers last February. Now Doncic is thriving on the 13-4 Lakers this season while the Mavericks sit at a woeful 5-14 on the year themselves.

Even if Harrison ultimately lost his job over the Doncic calamity, the greater Dallas area still needs much more time to forgive him (if that can ever even happen). With Harrison only having gotten fired a little over two weeks ago as well, that was about the reaction you might expect to Harrison stepping out in public again so soon.

While still employed by the Mavericks, Harrison was brutalized by “Fire Nico!” chants at every turn and once even got confronted on video by an angry fan while at eating a restaurant. It is clear at this point that Harrison is probably unlikely to ever know peace again while in the city of Dallas.
