NFL Week 13 winners, losers: Bryce Young shines; Colts continue to struggle

With most of the NFL's Week 13 slate wrapped up, some winners and losers have emerged. Bryce Young led the Carolina Panthers to a stunning upset of the Los Angeles Rams, while the downward spiral for the Indianapolis Colts continued.

NFL Week 13 winners

Bryce Young, quarterback, Carolina Panthers: After missing a huge opportunity in the Monday night loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Young responded by going 15-of-20 for 206 yards and three TDs in a stunning upset over the Rams. With two of Carolina's final four games coming against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFC South could be theirs for the taking as perhaps the league's biggest sleeper.

Derek Stingley Jr., cornerback, Houston Texans: Houston has now won its last four games, and Stingley was a huge part of its success in Sunday's win over the Colts. He did not allow a reception on his only target across 28 coverage snaps, marking his fourth game of the season allowing fewer than 10 yards in coverage and his second straight shutout in coverage, per Next Gen Stats.

San Francisco 49ers NFC West chances: Following a Week 10 loss to the Rams, the 49ers were 6-4 and in danger of missing the playoffs entirely. Three weeks later, they have won three straight and are in position to potentially win the NFC West and do some damage in the postseason if the momentum continues.

Ernest Jones IV, linebacker, Seattle SeahawksThe Seahawks feasted on the Minnesota Vikings by forcing five turnovers (four interceptions) in a 26-0 thrashing. Jones had two of those picks, including this 84-yard pick-six before halftime.

Josh Allen, quarterback, Buffalo BillsIt was not the flashiest performance by any means from Allen and the Bills in a 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he still found a way to make history in the process. This eight-yard TD run put the game out of reach and gave Allen the most rushing TDs (76) in NFL history.

NFL Week 13 losers

Indianapolis Colts: After starting the season 7-1, the Colts have lost three of their last four and have looked like a shell of themselves in recent weeks. For a team that once looked as explosive as any in the league, there is a lot to be concerned with after their latest loss to the Texans.

Matthew Stafford, quarterback, Los Angeles Rams: Stafford entered Week 13 in MVP form with 30 TDs and only two interceptions. Shortly after breaking Tom Brady's record for the most consecutive TD passes without an interception (28), he turned it over three times, including a brutal pick-six.

Shedeur Sanders, quarterback, Cleveland BrownsAfter leading the Browns to a win in his NFL debut one week ago, it was a much different outcome for Sanders with just eight points scored on Sunday. Aside from a 10-play, 90-yard drive in the second quarter, the Browns either punted, fumbled or turned the ball over on downs on their other eight possessions.

Max Brosmer, quarterback, Minnesota Vikings: With J.J. McCarthy (concussion) and Carson Wentz (left shoulder) unable to go, the undrafted rookie Brosmer made his first career start, and it was brutal to say the least. Brosmer was 19-of-30 for 126 yards and four interceptions.

Pittsburgh Steelers offense: With the 27th-ranked offense in yards per game (292.2 YPG), it is no secret the Steelers have had trouble moving the ball. That was no different on Sunday, with just 166 yards of total offense in the loss to the Bills.
