Police have confirmed that eggs were thrown at the house of under-fire Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo in the wake of the club's 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears on Nov. 28, which dropped the Eagles to 8-4.
While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Patullo addressed both the incident and his feelings on the Philadelphia faithful.
"As coaches and players, we all know that part of our job is to handle criticism," Patullo acknowledged, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of Philadelphia's SportsRadio 94WIP. "It’s perfectly acceptable to sit up here and talk about what’s going on, how to fix it, what we’re going to do going forward, and we know that. But when it involves your family, obviously, it crosses the line. So, that happened. At this point, we’ve just gotta move on. We’re trying to win."
Patullo has been with the Eagles since 2021 and was serving as the club's passing game coordinator and associate head coach when he was promoted to his current role after Kellen Moore left to become the head coach of the New Orleans Saints in February 2025.
ESPN stats show that the Eagles are ranked 24th in the NFL going into Week 14 with an average of 304.8 total offensive yards per game. They are 23rd with 196.3 passing yards per game, 22nd with 108.5 rushing yards, and 19th with 22.5 points scored per game. Earlier this week, head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed that Patullo will remain Philadelphia's offensive play-caller.
The 8-4 Eagles next play at the 8-4 Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night. As of Wednesday afternoon, DraftKings Sportsbook had Philadelphia as a three-point road favorite.
"At this point," Patullo said, "we're ready to focus on winning the game. Unfortunately, [the vandalism] happened. I've been here for five years now, and it's been awesome. This is such a unique place to coach and play. It's very special. We've been to two NFC Championship Games...a Super Bowl, the [Super Bowl celebration] parade. It's an amazing atmosphere to be a coach and a player."
Philadelphia fans chanted for the team to fire Patullo during the Black Friday home game against the Bears. The Eagles will return to Lincoln Financial Field when they host the Las Vegas Raiders (2-10) on Dec. 14.
