A LeBron James streak dating back more than 18 games officially came to an end on Thursday.
James, 40, had scored 10 points or more in 1,297 games ... until Wednesday, when he was held to only eight points in 36 minutes on 4-17 shooting from the field.
Despite James' historically sub-par performance, the Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 123-120 after James dished out the game-winning assist to Rui Hachimura, who hit a buzzer-beating three. The win improves Los Angeles' record to 15-5 and keeping the Lakers in second place in the Western Conference.

The last time James was held to single digits on the scoreboard was on Jan. 5, 2007. On that day, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Milwaukee Bucks on the road by a score of 95-86, but James scored only eight points in that game in 42 minutes of action.
LeBron finished with 8 PTS ending his 1,297 game streak, with at least 10+ PTS in a game.

Wednesday's game marks only the ninth time in James' NBA career that he has been held to under 10 points. The four-time NBA champion and 21-time All-Star is averaging 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game in his 23rd NBA season.
James will look to start a new streak — albeit, one that will be much less lengthy — of scoring 10 or more points when the Lakers play the Celtics in Boston on Friday.
