Zerek Sidney is a 4-star wide receiver from Goodyear, Arizona.
He had a chance to stay home and play college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils. In fact, they were one of his top programs and Kenny Dillingham and his staff were hot after him on the recruiting trail.
Sidney could have also gone to one of college football's most historic programs, Oklahoma. The Sooners were also in his top three.
Ultimately, though, it was Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies that won out in this recruiting battle.
Checking in at 6-foot-5, 175 pounds while playing for Desert Edge High School, Sidney committed to Washington on Thursday.

Fisch is on the marquee at Washington, but he'll really have to give a hat tip to wideouts coach Kevin Cummings, who actually had offered Sidney years ago while he was coaching at Arizona.
"Back in eighth grade, Coach KC was the first coach to offer me, going into my freshman year. Just him sticking through and staying consistent recruiting me all the way to my junior year, it just felt like the perfect fit," Sidney said via CBS Sports.
This is a big-time commitment for Washington. Sidney is ranked No. 36 among wide receiver recruits in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports.
He's got plenty of time to develop, but he's already shown off some elite ability. In his sophomore season, Sidney caught 45 passes for 591 yards and 11 touchdowns. Sidney missed much of his junior season due to injury, but he'll have his senior season next fall to really show what he can do.
In the meantime, he's relieved to have this commitment out of the way.
"Now, all I have to worry about is just getting better and getting ready for college," he explained. "Whatever coach KC needs me to get better and improve on, that's all I'm going to work on. I'm going to stay dedicated to trying to get ready to go to college because that flip is really crazy."
