Tyler Booker to Cowboys' opponents: 'How do you want to lose?'

The Dallas Cowboys' chances of qualifying for the playoffs took a major hit when the club fell to 6-6-1 on the season via a frustrating 44-30 loss at the Detroit Lions on Dec. 4.

Nevertheless, Cowboys guard Tyler Booker remains confident that Dallas can finish the regular season with four consecutive wins that may be good enough for "America's Team" to keep playing beyond Week 18.

Tyler Booker dares opponents to stop Cowboys' offense

"Because of how balanced we are," Booker said about why he likes the Cowboys' chances of making the playoffs during a chat with ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler. "If you want to play shell the whole game, we're going to run the ball on you. And when we've been running the ball well for two-and-a-half quarters, and you stack the box, we've got guys for that in the passing game. So you have to pick, how do you want to lose?"

ESPN stats show the Cowboys enter Week 15 leading the NFL with an average of 394.9 offensive yards gained per game. While the Dallas defense failed its offense at Detroit's Ford Field, that unit was a strength during a three-game winning streak following the Cowboys' acquisitions of defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson.

Meanwhile, Dallas trails the 8-5 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East standings. Recent performances from the Eagles' offense have reportedly caused some around the league to wonder if Philadelphia will select a possible future replacement for starting quarterback Jalen Hurts during the 2026 NFL Draft.

The odds aren't in Cowboys' favor

As of Wednesday morning, the ESPN Football Power Index gave the Cowboys just a 9.9 percent chance to make the playoffs. Dallas trails the 7-6 Carolina Panthers, the 8-5 Lions and the 9-4 Chicago Bears in the battle for the NFC's last wild-card playoff spot.

The Cowboys next host the 5-8 Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night. On Wednesday, DraftKings Sportsbook had Dallas as a 5.5-point favorite for that game.

Earlier on Sunday, the first-place Eagles will host the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders.
