Are Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy on the same page?
It doesn't look like it after they failed to connect on a would-be touchdown pass late in the third quarter of Sunday's home game against the Chicago Bears.
With Cleveland trailing 21-3, Sanders dropped back and put a throw to Jeudy right on the money on a 3rd-and-9 at Chicago's 24-yard line. The WR, however, failed to catch it.
Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson ripped the ball out of Jeudy's hands and secured the interception. It's worth noting that the WR appeared to mistime his jump on the play, which may raise more concerns about his relationship with Sanders. He and the rookie QB have already been struggling to build a repertoire this season.

In a 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, Sanders overthrew Jeudy on a potential TD. Later in the game, CBS cameras caught the QB and WR exchanging words on the sideline. Sanders downplayed the tense conversation.
"As players and teammates, we have to be able to jell with each other and be comfortable with each other in every situation," Sanders said, via The Athletic's Alex Valdes. "That takes time. It takes a lot of things ... We're going to have sparks, but it's going to take time to develop that chemistry with everybody, to be on the same page with Jerry. Of course, you want him to be able to get him the ball, but to be honest, it's going to take time. I'm more of a trust person and that's what it boils down to."
The interception against the Bears won't increase Sanders' trust in Jeudy, who's having a down year. After averaging a career-high 72.3 receiving yards per game last season, that figure had dropped to 38.2 ( a career low) through his first 13 games this season.
Cleveland's QB dysfunction hasn't helped matters. The Browns have also started rookie Dillon Gabriel and veteran Joe Flacco (who has since been traded to the Cincinnati Bengals).
Sanders may not be the future of the franchise, but Jeudy's slide should worry the Browns. He's no longer playing like a WR1 after one of the more productive seasons of his career.
