The Milwaukee Bucks hold a disappointing 11-16 record and sit in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.
Despite making the most moves in the NBA this offseason, Doc Rivers' team has failed to keep up, especially after Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a calf injury. Nevertheless, they're not going to go down without a fight.
With Giannis reportedly mulling his future with the organization, the front office wants to make a big splash to convince him to stay.
According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Bucks will be one of the most active teams in trade talks this season.
"One rival general manager I spoke to went so far as to say that the Bucks have convinced him that 'they're going big-game hunting,'" Fischer wrote.
They're reportedly keeping tabs on the likes of Zach LaVine, Jerami Grant, Dejounte Murray, Marcus Smart and Andrew Wiggins, although Fischer doesn't anticipate all of them to be available for a trade right now.
Truth be told, it's hard to believe any of those transactions would move the needle enough to turn this team back into a contender, let alone convince the former MVP to stay.
The Greek superstar reportedly reached out to his teammates to urge them to stay focused amid all the trade rumors.
Even so, with the way the team continues to underperform, it's hard to believe Antetokounmpo will gladly decide to stay and keep wasting his prime years there, at least after this season.
