Packers QB Jordan Love knocked out of game vs. Bears with concussion

Nothing can change a season more than an injury to a starting quarterback, especially when that team is a Super Bowl contender. That is why the Green Bay Packers have to be at least somewhat concerned that quarterback Jordan Love had to leave Saturday's game against the Chicago Bears with a concussion after taking a big hit to the helmet from Austin Booker.

Jordan Love's injury another big concern for Packers

The Packers' Super Bowl chances already took a big hit when superstar edge-rusher Micah Parsons was lost for the season with a torn ACL.

Now they have to worry about their best player on offense with a head injury.

Concussions can be tricky because there is a chance Love could clear concussion protocol by next week or before the end of the regular season. But there is no way to predict that or how the recovery time from that will look. It is also not something you want to rush.

Malik Willis is Green Bay's backup and has been since the start of the 2024 season. He has played sparingly over that time, but did start two games a year ago, winning both of them.

He is a capable backup in small sample sizes. The Packers still need Love to be healthy if they are going to make a serious run at the Super Bowl.
