The Saints have found two diamonds in the rough that may turn out to be superstars in the coming years.
Kicker Charlie Smyth and quarterback Tyler Shough were the stars of New Orleans' 29-6 win over the New York Jets on Sunday that gave the Saints (5-10) a three game winning streak for the first time since 2022.
Two days after he signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints, Smyth made five field goals on Sunday.
Smyth accounted for 16 of New Orleans' 29 points in Sunday's win one week after he was the hero for the Saints in their 20-17 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Smyth is now 10-11 on field goals this season and has yet to miss an extra point attempt.
Meanwhile, Shough earned his fourth victory as an NFL starter.

Shough threw for a career-high 308 yards on Sunday, tossing a touchdown pass to Chris Olave while completing 32 of his 49 passes.
Shough has now thrown for at least 250 yards in three of his victories as the Saints' starting QB, and seems to have solidified his place as New Orleans' chief signal-caller going forward.
