The Chicago Bulls once again knocked off the Atlanta Hawks in a one-possession contest.
The Bulls' 152-150 win over the Hawks on Sunday was the highest scoring game of the NBA season. Tuesday's game between the teams was not as high scoring, but it was just as competitive and ultimately ended with a 126-123 Chicago win.
The Bulls cut through a 10-point deficit late and sealed the victory with key free throws from Coby White and Nikola Vucevic.
While he wasn't the leading scorer for his team, Bulls point guard Josh Giddey may have had the most impact of any player on the floor after entering Tuesday's game tied for second in the NBA with six triple doubles this season.
He picked up sole possession in that category in the Chicago win. Giddey finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists, giving him his seventh triple double of the season. The 19 points gave him double-digits in seven straight games, and his 15 assists were a season high.

This is Josh's 14th triple double with the Bulls. Only Michael Jordan (28) and Scottie Pippen (15) have more. #AussieMilestone pic.twitter.com/rEjzQkmq9R
Chicago's win was its fourth straight and improved its record to just one game under .500 at 14-15. There is a common theme, though, in most of the games that the Bulls have lost this season.
Giddey has failed to reach his season assist average of 8.9 per game in six of the Bulls 14 losses. It is evident that Giddey's ball distribution from the point guard position plays a key role in Chicago winning games.
Chicago will be put to the test over the next week, as three of its next five games against the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic.
If the Bulls are able to get above .500 during that five-game stretch, it'll be on the back of Giddey and could cement them as sneaky playoff contenders.
