Pete Carroll provides key update on Maxx Crosby's feud with the Raiders

When it rains, it pours for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pete Carroll's team has been one of the most disappointing in the league this season, so it only made sense that things ended on a low note.

Star pass rusher Maxx Crosby reportedly stormed out of the building after being told he would be shut down for the final two games of the season.

However, Carroll told the media that they've been able to de-escalate the situation.

Maxx Crosby is back with the Raiders

“We’re doing great,” Carroll said. “We’re eye-to-eye on what’s going on.”

The Raiders have been eliminated from playoff contention for weeks, and with the No. 1 selection still at play and Crosby dealing with a minor injury, the team chose to err on the side of caution and keep him off the field.

The former fourth-round pick is a fierce competitor. He didn't appreciate that approach, and it raised speculation about his future with the team.

Multiple teams would gladly pick up the phone to make a run at him, although he's constantly reaffirmed his commitment to the organization.

Crosby has spent his entire career with the team that took him in the 2019 NFL Draft, logging 69.5 career sacks in 110 career games. He had 10.0 sacks and 20 QB hits in 15 games this season.

The Raiders have more questions than answers right now, and as much as the fans would hate to watch him leave, perhaps trading Crosby would be the easiest path to landing the assets they need to rebuild.
