Micah Parsons is thrilled to have one of his former teammates on his side once again.
The Green Bay Packers on Wednesday claimed Trevon Diggs off waivers. The Packers claimed Diggs a day after he had been waived by the Dallas Cowboys following some tension between the sides.
Diggs was drafted by the Cowboys in 2020 and was in his sixth season with them. He and Parsons were drafted a year apart and had been teammates for four straight seasons until Parsons got traded. Now they are reuniting months later.
“We’re back …,” Parsons wrote in a post on X on the matter.
We’re back ….

Diggs used to wear jersey number 7 with the Cowboys, while Parsons wore number 11, making them a fun 7-11 combination. Parsons is wearing number 1 in Green Bay though, so the great numerical nickname is gone. Parsons is also out recovering from a torn ACL.
Now the question is how quickly Diggs will be put into action by Green Bay. What we do know is that he will cost a lot of money against the salary cap for the Packers.
Trevon Diggs will count on the Packers salary cap for $472,222 for week 18. If active it will be $531,046.

Next year his cap number will be $14,970,588 or $15,029,412 if active week 18. The max it would cost is $15,500,000 if active all 17 games.
Spoiler – he will not be…
Diggs has been a favorite this season … of opposing quarterbacks.
Trevon Diggs has no INTs or PBUs in eight games this season. Per PFF, opposing QBs have a perfect 158.3 passer rating on 20 targets against him.

He has one TFL.
That TFL came against the Packers with 30 seconds left in OT.
