Bulls' Matas Buzelis posterizes Magic's Jalen Suggs with potential dunk of the year

After a promising start to the season that saw them win six of their first seven games, the Chicago Bulls have descended back into their comfort zone that is the mushy middle of the NBA's Eastern Conference. They will be a No. 9 or 10 seed in the play-in tournament, maybe win a game, maybe sneak into the actual playoff field and then get dispatched relatively quickly and forgotten about until next year's play-in tournament.

It is their existence. It is where they are comfortable.

But they did have a big highlight on Friday night against the Orlando Magic when second-year player Matas Buzelis delivered what might be to this point the dunk of the year.

It might still end up being the dunk of the year when the season eventually concludes.

Matas Buzelis posterizes Orlando's Jalen Suggs

Early in the second quarter Buzelis finished an odd-man break by delivering a thunderous dunk that is going to make Orlando's Jalen Suggs question his choices on the play.

Suggs even seemed to know immediately in the aftermath that it was going to be a bad look for him. Sometimes, though, you just have to tip your cap to the other player and admit that they got the best of you. That happens in the big leagues.

Buzelis was the No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and has taken on an increasingly larger role with the Bulls this season. His game is progressing, as is his production, and this is just a nice highlight to help put him on the map a little more.
