Giannis Antetokounmpo found the perfect opportunity to get his revenge against Nikola Vucevic.
The Milwaukee Bucks star Antetokounmpo caused a stir during a game last month against Vucevic and the Chicago Bulls. In the closing seconds of the contest at United Center in Chicago, Ill., Antetokounmpo, despite the Bucks already leading big at the time, decided to showboat with a windmill dunk before the final buzzer (video here).
That really ticked off the Bulls big man Vucevic. Immediately after Antetokounmpo’s dunk, Vucevic went over to confront him. Then in his postgame interview, Vucevic suggested that Antetokounmpo was angry about a recent report claiming that the Bulls did not want to trade for him.
Then during Chicago’s game against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, Charlotte star guard LaMelo Ball also showboated with a late dunk in the final seconds as the Hornets were already up by double digits. As a result, Vucevic decided to confront Ball too.

That whole spectacle was clearly very amusing to Antetokounmpo. Commenting on an Instagram post about the Ball-Vucevic incident, Antetokounmpo jokingly wrote, “The bulls didn’t want to trade for Melo either.”

The Bucks and the Bulls are Central Division rivals, and they obviously do not like each other one bit. Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo himself also has a longstanding grudge against Chicago, which dates back more than a decade now.
