Quarterback Arch Manning's ex-roommate is now a Benedict Arnold in the eyes of Texas Longhorns supporters.
On Tuesday, former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone confirmed he's planning to play for the Oklahoma Sooners next season. The news comes after he visited with the Indiana Hoosiers as well.
The Longhorns-Sooners rivalry, better known as the Red River Rivalry, is among the biggest in college football. Transferring to Texas' longtime foe is a way for the redshirt freshman WR to get back at his former team.
Livingstone entered the transfer portal after Texas beat the Michigan Wolverines 41-27 in the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Eve. It was a surprising move, considering his close relationship with Manning. But he has said transferring wasn't his preferred choice.

"Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home," Livingstone wrote on X on Jan. 3. "Some things are out of my control. Such is the reality of the ever-changing landscape of college football. Emptied my tank every day for this great university, my teammates and all the good folks of Texas. Grateful."

A report from Bobby Burton of On Texas Football contradicted Livingstone's statement. The longtime Texas football analyst reported the WR was offered a six-figure NIL deal, but he turned it down to pursue other options.
Livingstone — who had 29 receptions for 516 yards and six touchdown catches in 13 games in 2025 — may have faced increased competition had he stayed. Texas is eyeing former Auburn Tigers WR Cam Coleman, one of the top players in the transfer portal. He had 56 receptions for 708 yards and five TD catches in 12 games in 2025.
Five-star freshman WR Kaliq Lockett should also be in line for more targets next season after tallying two receptions for 35 yards and one TD catch in the Citrus Bowl.
Texas will face Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Oct. 10. Figure on Longhorns fans showering Livingstone with boos in the heated rivalry game. He has turned heel in their minds.
