No. 21 Georgia (16-3, 4-2 SEC) escaped Columbia, Missouri, with a huge SEC victory over Missouri (13-6, 3-3 SEC) on Tuesday evening with a clutch last-second basket.
The Bulldogs trailed 72-71 with 9.7 seconds to play, but Marcus Millender scored and got fouled to put UGA up 74-72 with just 5.5 seconds to play.
Missouri was then forced to take a tough three, which fell short and left what was a raucous crowd inside Mizzou Arena silent after the final buzzer.
Millender led Georgia with 18 points, while Mark Mitchell had 18 to lead Missouri.

The Tigers successfully defended star UGA guard Blue Cain, who was held to just eight points on 4-of-16 shooting and an 0-of-5 clip from beyond the arc. Ultimately, however, it was Millender who dealt the dagger.
Georgia has now won three of four, while Missouri has lost three of four.
The Bulldogs are proving that their soft nonconference slate and subsequent impressive record were no fluke. Meanwhile, it's difficult to get an accurate read on the Tigers, who beat No. 16 Florida to open SEC play but have been inconsistent since.
Georgia will travel to Austin on Saturday to take on Texas, while Missouri will stay home to play a struggling Oklahoma (11-8, 1-5 SEC) squad.
