There are not many franchises in the NBA that can compare to the list of all-time greats the Los Angeles Lakers boast. Magic Johnson. Kareem. Kobe Bryant. LeBron James. Shaquille O'Neal. James Worthy. Jerry West. Elgin Baylor. The list goes on and on, and there is going to come when Luka Doncic might very well join them.
For now, Doncic accomplished a feat on Friday night that none of the aforementioned players ever did while wearing a Lakers uniform.
In fact, he accomplished a feat that no Lakers player has ever done.
He recorded a triple-double during the Lakers' 142-111 win over the Washington Wizards, and he did so entirely in the first half.
What is perhaps even more amazing than the fact he did all of this in the first half, is that he also did it all in under 20 minutes of action.

He finished the game with 37 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in the win.
Aside from Doncic's dominance, it is a huge win for the 29-18 Lakers to bounce back from Wednesday's ugly loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it is now their fifth win in the past seven games. That helps keep them just above the play-in line in the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference standings.
Doncic entered play on Friday averaging 33.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Both are above his career averages of 29.0 points and 8.3 rebounds.
