10 notable NFL free agents and their potential landing spots

The NFL offseason will be officially underway following Super Bowl LX.

Teams are already gearing up for a pivotal free-agency period that could reshape rosters across the league. As NFL free agency approaches in March, let's examine ideal landing spots for these 10 free agents.

Edge Trey Hendrickson | 2025 team: Cincinnati

Washington Commanders: The Commanders and Dan Quinn would be the perfect fit for Hendrickson, who played in only seven games in 2025 because of a severe hip/pelvis injury requiring core muscle surgery.

Baltimore Ravens: With the hiring of Jesse Minter as head coach and bringing on Anthony Weaver as defensive coordinator, Hendrickson would be an intriguing option. The Ravens struggled with pass rush in 2025 (31st in sack rate), and they could lose multiple edge pieces in free agency. Hendrickson would slot perfectly into their aggressive, versatile front seven.

Wide receiver George Pickens | 2025 team: Dallas

Dallas CowboysIt would be smart for owner/GM Jerry Jones and the Cowboys to re-sign Pickens, who posted WR1 numbers (1,429 yards receiving, nine TDs) alongside CeeDee Lamb. He expanded the offense and allowed QB Dak Prescott to flourish with an experienced receiving corps.

Buffalo BillsThe Bills still need a consistent, experienced veteran who can open up the offense quickly. QB Josh Allen still lacks elite production at the receiving position, and this would bring him over the hump.

Center Tyler Linderbaum | 2025 team: Baltimore

Las Vegas Raiders: Linderbaum and the Raiders would be a great pair with expected HC Klint Kubiak. He's a well-balanced offensive lineman with good foot speed in space, and one of the top pass protectors in the league to anchor the line with Kolton Miller.

Los Angeles ChargersTheir unit ranked near the bottom in Pro Football Focus grades and struggled in protection. Linderbaum would provide immediate stability at center, protect Justin Herbert and fit HC Jim Harbaugh's physical, run-first identity.

Linebacker Devin Lloyd | 2025 team: Jacksonville

Jacksonville Jaguars: It would be ideal for the Jaguars to re-sign Lloyd and continue their upward trajectory under HC Liam Coen.

Los Angeles RamsHe could be their missing piece for a Super Bowl-contending defense. With cap room and a need for dynamic off-ball help, Lloyd's athleticism and playmaking would thrive in the Rams' scheme.

Quarterback Daniel Jones | 2025 team: Indianapolis

Indianapolis Colts: The clear top fit and most predicted outcome. Jones thrived in HC Shane Steichen's system, elevating the offense to elite levels pre-injury with play-action, deep shots and mobility.

Minnesota Vikings: Jones could return for head coach Kevin O'Connell. His play-action proficiency and deep-ball ability would fit their scheme.

Wide receiver Alec Pierce | 2025 team: Indianapolis

Indianapolis ColtsAnother ideal re-sign for the Colts in keeping rising Pierce out wide. He broke out in Shane Steichen's scheme (career-high 1,003 yards receiving), thriving as a deep threat and emerging WR1.

Las Vegas Raiders: Las Vegas has a major need for  explosive weapons and the cap space to add talent. Pierce's vertical speed would give a young QB a reliable target.

Defensive back Tariq Woolen | 2025 team: Seattle

Detroit LionsWoolen would bolster and reinforce their weak secondary and help jump-start their Super Bowl run.

Minnesota Vikings: DC Brian Flores' aggressive man-coverage scheme suits Woolen's press-man strengths and length. Woolen would elevate their secondary in the NFC North.

Edge Jaelan Phillips | 2025 team: Philadelphia

Philadelphia Eagles: He'd be another logical re-sign for the Eagles. In November in his debut following a trade from Miami, Phillips had seven pressures. He had five sacks in 2025.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans need edge upgrades to complement their defense for a quick turnaround under Robert Saleh. Phillips' pressure rate and athleticism would provide immediate juice and help DT Jeffery Simmons.

Running back Breece Hall | 2025 team: New York Jets

New Orleans Saints: Hall's elite 81.0 PFF grade on inside zone runs aligns perfectly with HC Kellen Moore's team. New Orleans could offer a high-volume role to maximize the every-down ability of Hall, who rushed for a career-high 1,065 yards in 2025.

Houston TexansThe Texans need a strong starting back to complement their elite defense. Hall's three-down ability would thrive alongside QB C.J. Stroud and potentially help them get over the playoff hump.

Offensive tackle Rasheed Walker | 2025 team: Green Bay

Cleveland BrownsThey need a reliable left tackle to anchor their offensive line. Walker's availability and consistency would be ideal for a young quarterback.

Los Angeles ChargersJim Harbaugh prioritizes trench dominance, and their line needs reinforcement to protect QB  Justin Herbert.
