The Washington Wizards were on the road Wednesday evening for a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Entering that game, the Wizards were 14-38.
Additionally, the team was without the services of second-year pro Alex Sarr. It was his 13th game missed in 2025-26. Those numbers will inflate after the latest news from ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.
He reported Thursday morning that Sarr "has sustained a right hamstring strain and will miss approximately two weeks."
Sarr was one of 28 players selected to the Rising Stars game in 2026. With the latest injury news, he will not compete in the event on Friday.
Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr has sustained a right hamstring strain and will miss approximately two weeks, sources tell ESPN. Sarr, one of three players averaging at least 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game this season, is now out for Friday's Rising Stars game.
