Five prospects who can boost their draft stock at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, set for February 22 through March 2 in Indianapolis, serves as a pivotal showcase where college prospects can elevate their draft stock through athletic testing, positional drills, interviews, and medical evaluations.

With 319 players invited, the event highlights both established top talents and those poised to emerge as risers — prospects who have climbed boards recently due to strong seasons, Senior Bowl performances, or untapped upside.

Here are five invited prospects who could potentially boost their 2026 NFL Draft stock at the combine.

Ted Hurst, Wide Receiver,  Georgia State

A transfer standout who topped 1,000 yards in his first full FBS season. Hurst's reliable hands and athletic ability stand out. Strong testing, good route running, and release work at the combine could highlight him as a dependable outside or slot option for teams needing depth. He's fluid off his breaks, showcasing his ability to dip and burst to create separation.

Garrett Nussmeier, Quarterback,  LSU

Nussmeier could steal the spotlight among quarterbacks in attendance. The son of New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier. Despite an inconsistent career at LSU, he's flashed his arm talent and accuracy with extensive experience. The throwing drills make him a key watch for teams seeking developmental signal-callers.

Pat Coogan, Center,  Indiana

Coogan is an experienced center with over 2,500 career snaps. He can play both guard and center positions, demonstrating good hand timing and strength in all aspects of the game. He is an extremely underrated talent in this class.

Charles Demmings, Defensive Back,  Stephen F. Austin

An FCS ballhawk with range and solid football instincts. Demmings is a physical downhill tackler and will challenge the catch point. His coverage ability will be on display in Indy.

Tanner Koziol, Tight End, Houston

Koziol is a lengthy target with strong hands. He attacks the intermediate and zone coverage effectively, which he can put on display during the combine. At 6-foot-7, he'll be an interesting developmental piece.

Colton Edwards

Colton Edwards graduated from the United States Sports University in 2023. He brings three years and counting of college football personnel experience (Tennessee Tech 2024-2025 and currently at Western Michigan).
