The NBA continues to try to revive All-Star Weekend by giving the events a twist.
This year included a former NBA player like Tacko Fall playing alongside influencers in the Celebrity All-Star Game, and even ESPN insider Shams Charania got a chance to showcase his skills.
Ironically, Charania played for Giannis Antetokounmpo's team. Charania has reported Antetokounmpo's likeliness to be traded for months.
Charania faced backlash on social media for his reports about Antetokounmpo, especially after Antetokounmpo ended up staying with the Milwaukee Bucks. And the "Greek Freak" made the most of the chance to take a jab at him as well.
Right before the game, former NBA player Richard Jefferson wanted to pick Antetokounmpo's brain about his team, claiming that it was just too stacked. Antetokounmpo, however, felt otherwise.
“Your team is not fair!” Jefferson said, per ClutchPoints.
“You know why it’s not fair?” replied Antetokounmpo. “'Cause we have Shams on my team. He cannot hoop! But everybody else can hoop.”
Ultimately, Charania's performance proved Antetokounmpo was actually right. He finished the game with zero points, going 0-for-4 from the floor and air-balling several attempts from beyond the arc. He also had three turnovers.
The internet never forgets, and trolling fans will make sure Charania remembers his lowlights for a very, very long time.
