Mother Nature has dealt her first blow of the weekend to NASCAR.
Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session at EchoPark Speedway, which was scheduled for 11 a.m. ET, was canceled after rain and a lightning hold.
That puts the starting lineup for Sunday's Autotrader 400 in the hands of the NASCAR rulebook.
Daytona 500 winner Tyler Reddick will start on the pole for Sunday's race, with Joey Logano joining him on the front row. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski round out the top-five starters, with Zane Smith, Chris Buescher, Riley Herbst, Bubba Wallace and Josh Berry completing the top 10.
Other notable drivers and their starting positions for Sunday include William Byron in 13th, Kyle Busch in 14th, Ryan Blaney in 22nd, Denny Hamlin in 29th and Alex Bowman in 36th.
Weather is expected to affect Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series races, with both events facing the possibility of delay or postponement. If both races are postponed, it is expected that they would run on Sunday, while if only one is postponed, it would run before the Cup Series race on Sunday.
Sunday's Autotrader 400 is not expected to be affected by weather and will go green shortly after 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 2 p.m. ET on FOX and PRN.
