The Houston Rockets dropped a tough 115-105 decision to the Miami Heat on Saturday, snapping what had been a modest three-game winning streak. While they did not get the team result, superstar Kevin Durant had another big game that helped him achieve another personal milestone and continue to climb one of the NBA's all-time leaderboards.
Durant finished Saturday's game with 32 points, pacing all players on the floor, and giving him the 432nd 30-point game of his career.
That moved him ahead of Kobe Bryant on the NBA's all-time list for most 30-point games, and brought him just three games away from Karl Malone for the fourth spot.
Durant tied Bryant on Thursday with a 40-point effort in the Rockets' win against the Orlando Magic.
Given the way he has been scoring this season, it seems inevitable that he will move ahead of Malone at some point.
