Trae Young has yet to play his first game for the Washington Wizards, but he still managed to get himself ejected on Monday night. The newly acquired guard was tossed during Washington's 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets after stepping onto the court to argue with an official while dressed in street clothes.
The incident happened after Rockets forward Tari Eason shoved Wizards forward Jamir Watkins to the floor while the Rockets were pushing the ball up the court.
A brief scrum broke out before teammates and coaches got in to break things up. Young, watching from the bench, walked onto the floor and started going at a referee. That was enough to get him tossed, even though he was not active.
Eason did not finish the game either, picking up two technicals and getting ejected himself. Jamir Watkins and Sharife Cooper each received one technical for how they responded to the play.

Young addressed the situation on X after the game, telling fans in the nation's capital not to expect this to become a pattern.
"Don't expect me to get ejected too many more times D.C. ...but I'm definitely bringing that energy & competitiveness when I'm back for my brothers!"

He has been sidelined since December 27 dealing with knee and quad issues.
The 26-year-old has appeared in only 10 games this season, putting up 19.3 points and 8.9 assists per contest. Washington acquired him in January, sending CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert to the Atlanta Hawks to get the deal done.
Young is set to suit up Thursday when the Wizards face the Utah Jazz. He hasn't scored a point for his new team yet, but he's already got an ejection attached to his name.
