Joey Logano won the pole for Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, earning the 34th pole of his NASCAR Cup Series career and his third at Phoenix.
Logano knocked his Team Penske teammate in Austin Cindric off the provisional pole with a lap of 26.561 seconds.
"Obviously, it was pretty good for qualifying," Logano told Prime Video regarding his No. 22 Team Penske Ford. "It's slick. I don't think anybody's car really feels good."
Defending Cup Series champion Kyle Larson will join Logano on the front row, with Cindric, Daniel Suarez and Ryan Blaney rounding out the top five. All three Team Penske Fords will start inside the top five on Sunday,
Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, Tyler Reddick, William Byron and Josh Berry completed the top 10. Reddick, who is looking to become the first driver since Jimmie Johnson in 2007 to win four straight races, was the fastest Toyota in qualifying.
Other notable qualifying results include Denny Hamlin in 11th, two-time defending Phoenix spring race winner Christopher Bell in 12th, rookie Connor Zilisch in 19th, Chase Elliott in 26th and Bubba Wallace in 28th.
Cole Custer was last (36th) of the drivers to take time, while Brad Keselowski did not make a qualifying lap and will start last (37th) on Sunday after scraping the wall in practice.
The Straight Talk Wireless 500 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET Sunday, with coverage on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
