It appears that NASCAR Cup Series driver Alex Bowman will miss another race with vertigo.
Per John Newby, an article on the Hendrick Motorsports website that has since been deleted revealed that 2024 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Justin Allgaier will fill in for Bowman at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
Anthony Alfredo drove Bowman's No. 48 Chevrolet at Phoenix Raceway on March 8 after Bowman was diagnosed with vertigo.
Bowman is last (36th) in the Cup Series standings through four races and will only fall further behind leader Tyler Reddick, who he is currently 202 points behind, and the 16th-place Chase bubble. Bowman is currently 77 points behind 16th-place Brad Keselowski.

Sunday will not be the first time that Justin Allgaier has filled in for a Hendrick Motorsports driver. He raced in the 2020 Brickyard 400 filling in for Jimmie Johnson and started the 2024 Coca-Cola 600 for Kyle Larson, who was racing in the Indianapolis 500.
Allgaier, who won the 29th race of his O'Reilly Series career at Phoenix Raceway March 7, is a veteran of 508 O'Reilly Series starts and 84 Cup Series starts.
Sunday's Pennzoil 400 is set to begin at 4 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
