No. 1 seeds with easiest, toughest draw in men's NCAA Tournament

Now that the 68-team field has officially been revealed, the madness is set to begin in another NCAA Tournament.

With the bracket finalized, which of the four No. 1 seeds has the easiest path to the Final Four, and which one has the toughest draw of the four teams?

Easiest draw: Arizona Wildcats (32-2, 16-2 Big 12)

The Wildcats won the Big 12 regular-season and tournament titles and are poised for a deep run. With an NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) ranking of three and 16 Quad 1 wins - second only to No. 1 overall seed Duke - Arizona has put together one of the best resumes in the country and has looked the part when fully healthy.

The top-three seeds in Arizona's West region are Purdue (two), Gonzaga (three) and Arkansas (four). According to the CBS broadcast of the Selection Show, the cumulative total of the top-four seeds (37) is the highest of any region, which points to an easier path for the Wildcats.

Gonzaga (six) and Purdue (nine) both have NET rankings inside the top 10, while Arkansas (17) is not far behind. However, the Boilermakers and Razorbacks have a combined 16 Quad 1 losses between them and the Bulldogs own a Quad 3 loss to Portland.

That is not to say that neither of them has a chance to take down Arizona. They clearly do and are more than capable of knocking out the top seed in the West region. With that said, Arizona came out of a loaded Big 12 conference and will not be an easy matchup in the Big Dance, especially in a region that may not be as stacked as the rest.

Toughest draw: Duke Blue Devils (32-2, 17-1 ACC)

One season after having arguably the easiest draw in the bracket, the No. 1 overall seed did not get much help on Sunday. Duke has a Division I-leading 17 Quad 1 wins and the nation's third-ranked defense (62.9 PPG), but their path to a second straight Final Four is not as clear.

The top-three seeds below Duke in the East region are UConn (two), Michigan State (three) and Kansas (four). Including Duke, the four teams have a combined seed total of 31, which just beats out the South region (32) for the lowest of the four regions. That does not even include the No. 5 seed St. John's, which may have been underseeded after its run through the Big East.

UConn has the best NET ranking (10), but all three teams have a combined 25 Quad 1 wins between them. They have lost their share of games as well, but that suggests the quality of competition that the Blue Devils will potentially have to face. Not to mention, two of Duke's starters, center Patrick Ngongba and guard Caleb Foster, missed the entirety of the ACC Tournament with foot injuries.

Led by National Player of the Year front-runner Cameron Boozer, the ACC regular-season and tournament champions will pose some problems for a lot of teams, but with injuries and depth potentially becoming an issue, the Blue Devils are not immune to getting upset in a challenging region.
