A pair of NFC East rivals may be vying for the same prospect in the first round of next month’s 2026 NFL Draft.

Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys could be looking to select a receiver early; Dallas, a playmaker to round out its supporting cast around Dak Prescott alongside CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, while the Eagles could be looking to replace A.J. Brown, who has been the subject of relentless trade speculation all offseason.

NFL Draft 2026: Dallas Cowboys host Omar Cooper Jr. for visit

According to a report from NFL Draft analyst Ryan Fowler, the Cowboys are hosting Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. for a pre-draft visit.

Cooper, six-feet and 201 pounds, became a focal point of the National Champion Indiana Hoosiers’ passing game, catching 69 passes for 237 yards and 13 touchdowns, as a reliable, big-bodied target for presumptive No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

In addition to Cooper’s visit to the Star in Frisco, he also previously took a pre-draft top-30 visit with the Philadelphia Eagles, so it seems as though these two division rivals might have sights set on dropping the same wide receiver into their offense next month.

The Cowboys are currently slated to select No. 12 and No. 20 overall, while Philadelphia won’t go on the clock until the No. 23 pick, so general manager Howie Roseman may need to trade up, if the Eagles covet Cooper as a must-have prospect.
