Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo put his name in the NBA record books with an 83-point performance on March 10 in a 150-122 win over the Washington Wizards at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla.
Adebayo’s massive night put him second all-time in the single-game scoring list, putting him above Kobe Bryant. Now, Adebayo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Adebayo averaged over 41 PPG across three games the past week for the Heat.

The 83-point performance from Adebayo sparked plenty of reactions , both good and bad. However, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was unapologetic when discussing the criticism they received for the huge outing.
Adebayo then scored 21 points and 20 points over the next two games, but the 83-point outing sure spiked his weekly averages.
Adebayo finished the historic 83-point game with a 20-of-43 clip from the field, 7-of-22 from three-point land, and a whopping 36-of-43 mark on free throws.
Yet, the Heat went 2-1 in the past week to sit at seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.
Adebayo also won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award in January, and this is the fourth time in his career that he has won the award.
