The Miami Dolphins appear to be tearing down their roster, and everyone thinks they know who the next player to be traded might be.
Many social media users predicted Tuesday that running back De’Von Achane will be next out the door from Miami. Achane is the most talented player remaining in Miami’s offense, and most questioned why the Dolphins would keep him instead of seeing what they could get for him via trade.
What's even the point of the Dolphins keeping De'Von Achane now? With this RB draft class especially, he has real trade value.

Jaylen Waddle was traded to Denver for a first and a third. That’s good value even though it’s a low-round first and a third.

Don’t be surprised if De’Von Achane is traded too.
This thing is going to the studs.
There are at least 8 teams in the league rn who if I was the GM of, I’m calling Miami rn and asking if I can take Achane off their hands for a 2nd.

Achane has emerged as one of the NFL’s most explosive running backs. He had a breakout season in 2025, rushing for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns while leading the league with 5.7 rushing yards per attempt. He has also established himself as a real receiving threat and could provide an instant jolt to someone’s offense.
Achane is also entering the final season of his rookie contract. He is likely to get a lot more expensive starting next season, though Miami may be willing to pay up.
The Dolphins have already let Tyreek Hill go this offseason and just traded Jaylen Waddle on Tuesday. Those moves have led many to believe that a full teardown is in progress. If that is the case, Achane likely would not be untouchable, though he would presumably not come cheap either.
