New Raiders WR Jalen Nailor discusses how Maxx Crosby will respond to failed Ravens trade

Much has been said and written about the assets the Las Vegas Raiders lost out on when the Baltimore Ravens backed out of sending two first-round draft picks to the Raiders for star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby.

Crosby failed a physical related to the meniscus repair he needed earlier this offseason. Thus, it's become a somewhat forgotten fact that the Raiders have also added multiple talents to their roster, such as wide receiver Jalen Nailor.

During a Thursday appearance on FanDuel TV's "Up & Adams" program, Nailor was asked how he feels Crosby will respond to the events of the past couple of weeks.

Will Maxx Crosby have a new "fire" after abandoned trade?

"I feel like it definitely lit a fire up under him," Nailor said about Crosby, who has since resumed rehabbing inside the Raiders facility. "He just wants to get back healthy and go out there and ball out and even do better than he's done before."

Crosby reportedly will not be fully cleared for football-related activities until "June or early July," but there's currently no indication he will miss any future regular-season games unless he experiences some type of setback before September. While he allegedly requested a trade following the 2025 campaign, it now appears that he and the Raiders have agreed to move forward with their working relationship.

Over 15 games this past season, Crosby tallied 10 sacks. Nailor is hyped to see what a healthy and angry Crosby may be able to accomplish under first-year Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak.

Jalen Nailor, Raiders expect "dominant" Maxx Crosby for 2026 season

"I'm excited for that," Nailor continued. "Just watching him the past four years that I've been in the league, how dominant he is and the type of guy he is, I'm just excited for it."

Nailor isn't alone. Recently, one longtime personnel executive predicted during a chat with Jason La Canfora of SportsBoom US that Crosby is "going to have a monster season" after the Ravens decided not to acquire his services.

As for Crosby's commitment to the Raiders, he reached out to Nailor the day after the Ravens-related trade fell through.
