Future Hall of Famer flirts with Chiefs after Travis Kelce deal

The Kansas City Chiefs are officially keeping their future Hall of Fame tight end in town.

Travis Kelce got a three-year deal to return to Arrowhead Stadium, and even though he may only play for one season, that's still great news for Patrick Mahomes. Everybody wants to play with stars, especially other stars. Notably, that may include New Orleans Saints legend Cameron Jordan.

Shortly after the news of the deal broke, the star pass-rusher took to X to shout out Kelce with a "Ohhh Yahhhh Trav!!!" message that sparked some suspicion on social media.

Is Cameron Jordan trying to endear himself to the Chiefs?

NFL players reach out to one another and celebrate each other's accomplishments all the time, so perhaps people are reading too much into this. That said, Jordan recently admitted that he may not return to New Orleans next season, and Chiefs star DT Chris Jones also pleaded to the team to make a run at him.

The Chiefs desperately need some help in the pass-rushing department. Jordan will play his 16th season in the league in 2026, but he's coming off posting 10.5 sacks for the struggling Saints, and that would've led the Chiefs as well by a significant margin.

Jordan is the Saints' all-time leader in sacks, and he's still as relevant as he's ever been, even if he only plays in obvious passing-down situations. The Chiefs only have $7.1 million in available cap space, per Over the Cap, but they can probably get Jordan to give them a discount if he's so eager to play for Andy Reid's team
