Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid is making a push for yet another scoring title this season, but before he gets there he reached another big career milestone for himself on Tuesday night. With his second-period goal against the Utah Mammoth, McDavid reached the 400-goal mark, making him just the 115th player in NHL history to get there.
It is an impressive accomplishment for McDavid because he is still only 29 years old. That makes him just the 23rd player in league history to score his 400th goal before 30th birthday.
He joins his Edmonton teammate, Leon Draisaitl, as the most recent player to do it.
Here is a look at his milestone goal.

McDavid is one of the best offensive players of his era and is well on his way to being one of the best of all time.
From the time he entered the NHL at the start of the 2015-16 season, his 400 goals are fifth most in the league, while his 1,198 total points are tops in the league. He has 154 more total points than any other player in the league over that stretch.
All of the offensive numbers are great and more than establish him as an elite player. But he is still searching for the one thing his resume is lacking: a Stanley Cup.
He is doing everything he can to drag the Oilers back into the Stanley Cup Final for a third consecutive season. The question, again, is whether or not he has the supporting cast that can help get him and the Oilers over the top.
