Former Xavier and Louisville head coach Chris Mack has been hired as the next head coach of the USF Bulls.
The Bulls hired Mack away from Charleston, where he spent the last two seasons.
He's the former 2016 National Coach of the Year when he was at Xavier and has earned Big East Coach of the Year and Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year honors.
Mack took Xavier to the NCAA Tournament in eight of his nine seasons with the Musketeers. He won the Atlantic-10 regular season twice and the Big East regular season once.
On Wednesday, USF announced him as the 13th men's basketball coach in program history.
"Bulls basketball has incredible momentum, and we've found an outstanding coach and leader to elevate our program to the next level," CEO of athletics Rob Higgins said in a statement.

Mack has taken multiple teams to the Sweet 16, and he's gotten as far as the Elite Eight. He went 45-20 over these past two seasons with Charleston, but he could not get the Cougars out of the Coastal Athletic Association and into the NCAA Tournament.
Really, the only blemish on Mack's resume was his time at Louisville. He made the tournament just once in four seasons with the Cardinals. He was also accused by the NCAA of several infractions during his time at Louisville.
Mack undoubtedly rehabbed his coaching image at Charleston, and now he's got a shot at giving it a go down in Tampa, Florida.
"I am truly excited for the opportunity to lead a South Florida basketball program that's on an exceptional trajectory and to join a university and athletic department defined by strong leadership, shared aspirations, and tremendous alignment," Mack said.
