The Dallas Cowboys have been involved in multiple trade rumors during the 2026 NFL offseason. The NFC East team was one of the squads interested in landing Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dallas reportedly made three offers to the Raiders, but none were appealing to the AFC West team. Instead, they went with the Baltimore Ravens’ offer of two first-round picks. Baltimore backed out of the trade after Crosby failed his physical.

While many thought he would be off the trade market, there might be a strong possibility of seeing him involved in rumors again. The Cowboys could take advantage of that and land him on a discount.

Cowboys reporter Jon Machota explained that the Cowboys could part ways with one of their first-round picks in 2026. They refused to deal both of them, but now, a reduced package could do for the Raiders.

“Them trading for Maxx Crosby, I would not completely rule that out at all. It all comes down to what they think of him, medically, but I would not — especially now that the price has to have come down,” Machota said on the “ One-Star Podcast .” “And it makes no sense for the Raiders to publicly say everything that they have said, that they’re fine and everything’s great and they’re going to keep Maxx. I just don’t see a world where Maxx Crosby is on the Las Vegas Raiders in 2026.

“Because of that, the only other team that’s come out with an actual offer that has been reported is the Dallas Cowboys. If now all the sudden they can get him at a reduced price for 20, pick 20 overall? I don’t think you can completely rule that out, with another late-round pick thrown in there.”

They made several moves to revamp the defense. Adding Crosby would be the cherry on top, especially for just the one first-round pick.
