The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have now picked up a pair of elite 2027 running back recruits.
First, it was four-star running back Lathan Whisenton, ranked as the No. 19 running back in the country.
Now, it's being reported that Isaiah Rogers, a four-star running back from Springfield, Massachusetts, has committed to the Fighting Irish.
Rogers visited on March 21 for a junior-day recruiting event and liked everything he saw. In fact, that was a turning point in his recruitment.
“The visit really opened my eyes to a lot of things,” Rogers told Kyle Kelly of Rivals. “Not just for football, but after football — the networking and the Notre Dame degree."
That's not to say that football didn't matter, though.
Rogers admitted that he was impressed with running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider and, of course, head coach Marcus Freeman.
"I mean, Coach Seider is sending four running backs to the league now. It really opened my eyes to a lot of opportunities," Rogers said.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Rogers is ranked as the No. 15 running back in the 2027 class. As a junior at Springfield Central High School, he rushed for 986 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 401 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver.
He committed to Notre Dame over Georgia, Indiana and Penn State and though he was planning on taking his time and making official visits, the trip to South Bend sealed the deal.
“I just felt like the time was right,” Rogers said. “All my boxes were checked and more. My mom loved it as well. I didn’t need to keep going through my recruitment because I felt like I found home.”
