A longtime NHLer is taking shots at one of his son’s teams.
When appearing on the "Wingmen" podcast, hosted by his sons, Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, Keith Tkachuk discussed injuries and how some players in today’s game lack toughness, more or less directing his comments toward Brady’s team, the Ottawa Senators.
“You play through injuries,” Keith said. Holy Christ, [Brady’s] whole team. ‘Ah, my pinky hurts. I’m out for six days…I’m out for 6-8!'”
Matthew tried to interject and change the subject, but ‘Walt’ didn’t let up, with Brady doing his best not to say anything.
“You knew that was coming,” Matthew said. “Right when he said that, I was like, ‘Don’t you say it.'”
“‘I just had a bad sleep,'” Keith mocked. “‘So, I can’t play today’…disgusting.”
“Alright, we’re going to move on here…,” said Matthew.
“‘I can’t play back-to-backs,” Keith said one more time. “‘Risk management.’ Grant Fuhr played [76] games.”
Here is the full exchange for greater context. Keith Tkachuk comments on players becoming "soft" in dealing with injuries, then brings up Grant Fuhr (goaltender) playing 70 games a season. Brady laughs awkwardly and Matthew quickly tries to change topics. pic.twitter.com/vTTiJ2MsNE

The last jab was unquestionably pointed at Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark, who was out for an extended period of time after being granted personal leave.
Ottawa head coach Travis Green was asked about the comments, and though he admitted he hadn’t watched the clip, the chatter about what Keith said made its way to him.
“Haven’t seen it. I heard about it, Green said. “I know Walt really well. He’s a friend. Played with him, known [him] a long time. I know he’s outspoken.”

“Haven't seen it. I heard about it.”
“I know Walt really well. He's a friend. Played with him, known (him) a long time. I know he's outspoken.”
Later Green said “I think Brady's minutes are perfect.”
From Keith down to Matthew and Brady, the Tkachuks have been known for their outspokenness, for better or worse. There’s no question, things are going to he a little awkward in the Sens’ dressing room in the near future.
