Michigan Wolverines point guard Elliot Cadeau found himself in the middle of a health scare on Wednesday before the Wolverines were scheduled to head to Indianapolis for the Final Four.
It was reported that Cadeau, a junior from West Orange, New Jersey, was dealing with an allergic reaction that required the attention of doctors.
Cadeau was ultimately OK, but it was reportedly serious enough that he needed medical supervision as he traveled to Indianapolis behind his teammates.
Now, a day later, the point guard has revealed that it was a cashew nut that brought on the allergic reaction. This happened just as the team was getting ready to depart for the 2026 Final Four.

It's also notable that Cadeau said that he's feeling good, so it seems more than likely that he'll be 100 percent, or as close to it as possible, for Michigan's massive clash with the Arizona Wildcats.
This is the best-case scenario for both Cadeau and Michigan, because this very well could have been an extremely serious situation. Cadeau had to be transported to the hospital via ambulance, so this was no small deal.
Ultimately, all is well that ends well, and now Cadeau and the Wolverines must lock in for a massive test against Arizona.
This Final Four matchup will feature the No. 1 seed in the Midwest bracket (Michigan) and the No. 1 seed in the West bracket (Arizona), and it's guaranteed to be an incredible game.
Cadeau will play a big role in this one for Michigan, win or lose.
