The Charlotte Hornets and Phoenix Suns each have a new franchise leader for three-pointers made in a single season.
With his four made three-pointers in Thursday's 127-107 win against the Suns, Knueppel surpassed Charlotte legend Kemba Walker for most three-pointers made in a single season.
Walker's franchise record of 260 made three-pointers in a single season was set in the 2018-19 season. Knueppel surpassed it with five regular-season games remaining for the Hornets. Knueppel will enter those final five games with 261 made threes on the season.

On the other side, it was Suns point guard Collin Gillespie who made history. Gillespie set the all-time Phoenix record for three-pointers made in a season.
Gillespie's 227 made three-pointers has surpassed the previous mark of 226 set by Quentin Richardson in the 2004-05 season. Much like Knueppel, Gillespie will have five more games to extend his franchise record.

Phoenix will enter its final five games as the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and 2.5-game lead over the No. 8 seed Los Angeles Clippers. Charlotte enters its final five games trailing the No. 7 Toronto Raptors seed by 1.5 games and just a half-game lead over the No. 9 seed Orlando Magic.
The final five games for both teams will be utterly important for seeding purposes for the NBA Play-In Tournament.
