Corey Heim holds off Kaden Honeycutt to win wild NASCAR Truck Series race at Rockingham

Corey Heim isn't competing for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, but if he were, he'd be far and away the title favorite.

Heim, the defending Truck Series champion, won Friday's Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway in dominant fashion behind the wheel of the No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra, leading 178 of 200 laps. Heim also won at Darlington Raceway on March 20.

A yellow flag in the middle of green flag pit stops during the race's second-to-last green flag run trapped many drivers one lap down. Only nine trucks were on the lead lap over the final run, but it was Heim, on the strength of a restart where he was shot out of cannon and pulled away, who held on for the victory.

Runner-up Kaden Honeycutt, driving Heim's old No. 11 Toyota for TRICON, closed on Heim in the final laps as Heim encountered lapped traffic, but was unable to complete a pass. Honeycutt got to Heim's bumper on the final lap and even got side-by-side with him, but the lapped truck of Tanner Gray prevented Honeycutt from passing Heim.

The victory for Heim gives him an additional $150,000 in the Triple Truck Challenge. It's the 25th Truck Series win of Heim's career.

"All of a sudden with four to go, I had to turn more right down the straightaway," Heim told Fox Sports. "Hung in there, had to use a couple lapped car picks. Really enjoy doing this. Definitely a stressful ending there."

Heim can now win a $500,000 bonus if he wins the April 10 Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
