Dan Hurley mocks boos after UConn's Final Four win

Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies have punched another ticket to the national championship game.

Led by Braylon Mullins and Tarris Reed Jr., the Huskies topped Illinois 71-62, holding the Fighting Illini to 34 percent from the floor and 23 percent from three.

Mullins made big shot after big shot, especially down the stretch, finishing the game with 15 points and four three-pointers on seven attempts.

That's why Hurley couldn't care less about the boos in his post-game interview. When asked about Mullins, he made sure to give him the spotlight while making fun of those who didn't like the final outcome.

Dan Hurley unfazed by boos in sideline interview

"The start to the game, and then the finish to the game," Hurley started, per TNT Sports. "I don't know why they're booing, the headbutt? I don't know why they're booing," Hurley added, smirking. "He's amazing. He got us here, and then he got us off to a great start, and he closed it."

Hurley is a controversial figure, to say the least, and his methods often rub the wrong way with fans of other programs. His fiery competitiveness and his signature headbutts on his players aren't for everybody, but it's hard to discuss his results.

The Huskies will now look to win their seventh national championship, the third in the Hurley era, and the third in the past four years.

Controversial or not, Hurley has already established himself among the elite, and he'll continue to be unapologetically authentic.
