The TCU Horned Frogs have suffered a huge loss to the NCAA transfer portal.
Their leading scorer and best player from this past season, forward David Punch, will be leaving Fort Worth.
Punch will undoubtedly be one of the top players available in the portal, and he's bound to get plenty of suitors.
This past season for the Horned Frogs, he averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
He started all 34 games for TCU in 2025-26.
NEW: TCU forward David Punch plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, @JoeTipton reports.

Punch was a two-year starter for TCU, coming in as a four-star power forward from Harker Heights, Texas.
He averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over those two seasons. He was an All-Big 12 honorable mention. He also recorded five double-doubles, which included 16 points and 13 rebounds against Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately for TCU, Duke did a good job of shutting Punch down in the second round, as he scored just four points on one of ten shots from the field.
Punch is the fourth Horned Frog to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining guards Jace Posey, RJ Jones and Bugg Edwards.
He had originally committed to TCU over NC State and Penn State, though at the time of his commitment, proximity to home mattered.
One would imagine that he'll be courted by just about every major program across the country this time around.
