The Kentucky Wildcats have brought in yet another guard with elite potential.
Recruiting has always been easy at Kentucky. Seemingly, at least. The transfer portal and the prominence of NIL have evened out the landscape a bit in both college football and college basketball, though.
As such, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope is in no way guaranteed to land the top transfer players in the country every season.
In Zoom Diallo, the Wildcats may have done just that, though.
Diallo entered the transfer portal after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Washington Huskies. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 7 point guard available in the transfer portal.
He's now committed to Kentucky.

This is big-time for the Wildcats.
As a sophomore, Diallo averaged 15.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. He ranked ninth in the Big Ten in assists per game and also in field goal percentage (48.9%).
Diallo appeared in all 33 games for the Huskies in 2025-26, starting 29.
He's expecting to be a big part of Kentucky's backcourt next season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
