Cade Cunningham's words mean even more after Pistons' thrilling Game 7 win

The Detroit Pistons looked all but done in their playoff series against the Orlando Magic when the team was trailing Orlando 3-1 after Game 4, but it wasn't over.

Cade Cunningham and the Pistons did what's so difficult to do in the heat of the NBA playoffs. They pulled off three consecutive wins to advance.

The Pistons officially moved on in the playoffs on Sunday with a definitive 116-94 win over the Magic.

Cade Cunningham had the foresight that the Pistons could win three in a row to advance

Following the Pistons' Game 5 win on Wednesday, Cunningham said something that rings even more real after the series wrap-up. Speaking on the broadcast after the game, he said that he didn't see the team's deficit in the playoffs as a negative. He saw it as an opportunity.

"Not everybody is blessed with those opportunities to have pressure and have things on the line like that," Cunningham said, according to Fox Sports. "I'm just thankful for it and trying to make the most out of it. We've had a great season so far and none of us want it to end."

Cunningham also showed off a confidence that the Pistons could do what they eventually did on Sunday, which was to get to Game 7 and win it.

"We dug ourselves a hole and now it’s time to climb our way out," Cunningham said. "It's possible."

So, even back at Game 5, when the Pistons had just barely kept their playoff hopes alive with a win to stay in the running, Cunningham had his sights set on Game 7 and knew this team could turn it around.

Next up, the Pistons will advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals to take on either the Cleveland Cavaliers or Toronto Raptors.
