Five game-changing MLB prospects to watch

While his 2025 season was impacted by a knee injury, Sirota has transformed into one of the hottest prospects. Aside from his resilience, his five-tool potential makes him a valuable asset. 

He's showcased solid bat skills, raw power, speed, web gem potential and a strong arm. The toolsy outfielder has recorded a .329 batting average, with six home runs, 15 RBI, four stolen bases and a 1.164 OPS with the Great Lakes Loons (High-A). 

He's also produced high-exit velocities (over 107 mph). All things considered, Sirota is on pace to be a key part of the Dodgers' future talent. 

Lazaro Montes- Seattle Mariners

Someone call the fire department because Mariners prospect Lazaro Montes has been on absolute fire. With Double-A Arkansas on May 3, he clubbed three home runs and drove in a career-high eight RBI. 

Best of all, the home runs were not solo shots. He belted two three-run homers and a two-run homer, showcasing how he's a run-producing machine. 

He has seven home runs on the season with 19 RBI and two stolen bases. Montes already got a taste of the big leagues this season in camp and didn't disappoint. He collected three hits, including a two-run triple that showcased his potential as an up-and-coming elite hitter.

Ethan Holliday- Colorado Rockies 

Rockies prospect Ethan Holliday has four home runs, 19 RBI, a stolen base and a .910 OPS with the Fresno Grizzlies (Single-A). 

Ranked No. 18 overall by MLB Pipeline, the 19-year-old has dished out elite power, including an electrifying grand slam on April 29.

But he's also been effective by boasting an 18.7 percent walk rate, complementing his strong plate discipline. When it comes to his defensive skills, he possesses solid range and is capable of making diving plays. 

He demonstrated his defensive flair on April 5, making a strong throw that was equipped with impressive range. It highlighted his defensive upside while also being recognized as a top MILB play. 

Robby Snelling- Miami Marlins

22-year-old left-handed pitching prospect Robby Snelling is flourishing as the No. 33-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline. 

He owns a 3-1 record with a 1.86 ERA, 44 punchouts and a 0.897 WHIP across 29 innings pitched with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A). He has top-tier strikeout ability (40 percent strikeout rate). 

On April 10, he was dealing with a performance that had him dominating with 12 strikeouts across five innings. His ace potential is a clear sign that the Marlins should call him up following the DFA of Chris Paddack. 

Caleb Bonemer- Chicago White Sox 

Last but not least, we have the White Sox's Caleb Bonemer, whose big-bat performance with the Winston-Salem Dash (High-A) makes him a standout prospect. 

He leads High-A with 11 home runs, and on April 28, he put up his best performance with three home runs against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. 

He also owns a 1.148 OPS with a .289 batting average this season. His high-end power is off the charts as he crushed seven of his 11 home runs across two weeks. In addition, he's recorded 20 extra-base hits and has drawn comparisons to Gunnar Henderson.
