Packers share major update on Micah Parsons, Tucker Kraft injuries

The Green Bay Packers lost two of their biggest contributors to major injuries last season, one on each side of the ball.

Tucker Kraft was in the midst of a breakout year before suffering a torn ACL in November. Then, Micah Parsons couldn't finish his first season at Lambeau Field after an ACL tear of his own late in the year.

With that in mind, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst shared encouraging updates on both players' recoveries.

The Packers will have Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft back early

“They’re doing great,” Gutekunst told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Tuck’s been in here every day, and he’s obviously a little bit ahead of schedule, just because his injury happened earlier than Micah’s did. But Micah’s such a...he’s a little bit of a freak. So I think some of that has taken over, and he’s doing really well, as well.”

While he didn't commit to a firm timeline or potential return date, it looks like they won't miss that much time -- if any.

“So, certainly expect both of those guys back early in the season. And they’ll be a big part of what we’re doing moving forward,” the GM said.

The Packers entered last season with Super Bowl aspirations before injuries derailed their once-promising campaign.

Kraft is entering a contract year, and Parsons will now play for a new defensive coordinator in Jonathan Gannon, so it'll be interesting to see how they fare once they get back on the field.
